do i need to send a cue sheet to the music publisher ??
This is what it says in the contract,
“It shall be a material term of this agreement that Producer must provide Publisher a cue sheet of the Production with payment of the license fee, if applicable”
I’m not going to televise my film, nor show it theaters. It is a direct to dvd release, as far as I know cue sheets only need be submitted if it goes to tv, or in situations where music royalties apply, and dvd’s aren’t a part of that. ..so does this mean that I don’t have to send them anything?>

Yes, anytime you use a music library, you must provide a cue sheet. We do dozens of project each year that are in-house, one-off’s or are strictly for a trade show, never to be seen by the general public. But we are required to submit a cue sheet each time to the music publisher.

The contract clause you quoted doesn’t mention anything about how you distribute. It’s pretty clear that they simply require the cuesheet.

okay, and if my film goes to television then I simply submit the cue sheet to the network right?
I’ve never filled one out, are they pretty straight forward?
