Do I need permission from Adobe or Apple to sell books and tutorials?
I’ve been teaching Avid, Final Cut Pro 7 and X, Premiere Pro, Color, Motion and After Effects since 2009.
I’m not a school or a company, but a freelance and independent teacher.
I’m planning to write a manual for FCP X and another one for Premiere Pro CS6, to sell them in Amazon.
I’m also planning to create video tutorials and sell them.
All these materials would be only in Spanish.
The reason to do this, is because my students ask me to.
So, that´s the question.
Do I need and official permission from Adobe or Apple to create all this?

Nope. You can write those and. Of need their permission. In fact, they want his to be done. So more people will lead. To use their software.

😉I think what Shane was trying to say is Adobe likes the idea of people making training material, because more people will learn how to use their software.
The issue here is, do you need permission from Adobe to SELL the training material?
