Is there any practical difference in using DNxHD 36 1080p vs Cineform YUV 10-bit 720p as proxy to H264 UHD on a PC?
What I do know is that the file size of the DNxHD is about 50%-70% of the file size of the Cineform and that the Cineform files do not play on Window Media Player without installing some extra software.

If you are using proxies to edit, the DNxHD will probably give you better timeline performance. But depending on what your deliverables are, neither may ne suitable for final file. We would need more information to guess on that.

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2017.1 (as of 8/2017)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from UHD MP4, HD MP4, and HD P2 MXF.

    Thanks Jon.
    Deliverable will be H264 1080p
