June 24, 2014 at 9:11 pmVegas does not support Cinema DNG files or Magic Lantern RAW files.
I don’t see Sony supporting every RAW format out there. Too much. Hopefully, they will support Cinema DNG as that is multi camera capable.
If you get your RAW exposure setup in some other software and then output an image sequence, you can import an image sequence into Vegas.

June 24, 2014 at 11:16 pmYou might look into GoPro Cineform Studio premium. Supposedly some have imported the DNG into that and converted it to Cineform RAW.

June 25, 2014 at 5:20 pmWow, I’m surprised that Vegas doesn’t support Cinema DNG, as it’s a pretty popular codec.

June 26, 2014 at 3:22 pmI don’t use Vegas as I’m on a Mac, but my workflow is convert the Magic Lantern Raw to CinemaDNG, them open as an image sequence using Camera Raw plugin in After Effects, grade to my liking, save to ProRes QT file and then edit.
You can always relink to originals for a proper grading in Davinci Resolve.

June 30, 2014 at 6:43 am1. Adobe Cinema DNG files? I am shooting Magic Lantern RAW on a Canon DSLR.
2. Is there a program to convert Cinema DNG files to something that is editable and playable for Sony Vegas Pro?
Or is this the final straw for me to leave Sony Vegas Pro….

June 30, 2014 at 6:45 amYou take the Cinema DNG files into Davinci Resolve or After Effects and render out the sequence into something Vegas can read.

The trick is to instal Adobe dng codec for windows. If you can’t find it online I can supply the link.
