DL Extreme G5 2.5 DP FCP 5 –No pic or sound from FW in???
Thought I’d checked everything after up grading to G5, FCP 5, BM 5.5 drivers and all.
But today had to capture some DV from my Camera, DSR500, by FWire and—
can control the tape in the camera, it reads TC, but no picture or sound. Tried every
setting in capture settings, still nada.Did I miss something? Works fine component in from Beta.
Just get black screen in some settings mode, color bars that say ‘preview disabled’ in others.
Thanks for any ideas.

Hi,
Was your project setup using the DV setups provided by Apple? Hit Ctrl-Q and select “DV-PAL” or “DV-NTSC”.

Hey, thanks for response.
Yah, tried that. As well, tried different FW input source, trashing prefs, opened new
project, new user…all that. Even trashed version Library Receipts for QT and re-installed QT.Gonna keep monkeying with it, see if get it sorted and working.
Based on searching for a clue here, appears I’m not alone in this.

Just wondering, are you able to capture using iMovie?
What if you uninstall the Blackmagic drivers totally?
