DL Extreme can’t capture out point in FCP
I’m using Decklink Extreme v5.0.1 on a G5 with Final Cut Pro 5.0.2. I just installed this card. I am having trouble capturing a tape. I set my in and out point, then go to “CAPTURE CLIP” and it cues it up, plays it, but will not read the out point. It keeps playing past the out point. The only way out is ESCAPE which then aborts the capture. “BATCH CAPTURE” yielded the same results. I am using the default BM 10-bit settings, which shows the device control settings at “Sony RS-422, 2-channels of audio.” VTR is a UVW-1800 and the 9-pin cable is connected directly to it. Blackmagic’s Deck Control utility works fine, this is only a problem in FCP.

OK…trashed the FCP preference file and it works now. Crossing my fingers…
