ditigal cinema desktop preview problem
so i’m running FCP and i have the whole dual monitor set up. When i got my second monitor, i set up the ditigal cinema desktop preview for my second monitor. It worked great… until now.
For some reason when i go into this mode, my second monitor goes black, but does not play back the footage. It just stopped working and i have no idea why. I recently did a ‘software update’ but i cant remember what all i updated on my g5. The other odd thing is that the cinema desktop stills works on my SD projects, it just not working on my HD projects (easy set up DVCPROHD 24p).
Does anyone have any suggestions? i did try shutting down a few times (computer and FCP), hitting ‘refersh AV devices,’ trying ‘single frame’ instead of ‘all frames’, etc.
its driving me crazy, thanks for any help.

Had a problem a bit like that recently. The only solution was a clean install of OS X. I bought a second internal hard drive to back up my machine.
