  • DIT software for SONY F3 with S-Log and Cinedeck

Good evening cow people, I am on a feature with 2 Sony F3’s and 2 Cinedecks. I would like to run them back to the DIT cart and into a AJA KONA 3 with SDI so we can do realtime color grading. Any thoughts?

    Thanks

Just noticed the S-Log portion of the thread, My bad. I haven’t seen any Sony support for creating your own S-log LUTs. There is a Sony software program (CVP File Editor) but I haven’t heard it is updated for the F3.

We have the crew in place, but if you have a guy I would love to talk with him and see if he is right for the job. The issue we are have is the software we prefer is STORM and as far as I know there is no software that will support Apple ProRes 4444 or uncompressed. The EX3 is great but the F3 with S-Log has been turned into a film camera and we need to create LUT’s in real time.

I would recommend calling Blacklist. They design custom DIT solutions/software/workflow. I think they have around 8-10 DITs and carts out on a number of different shows. I know they all have the capacity to do real-time/near real time grading, transcodes and data back-up on set.
