    Hey all,

I have many splines (connected into one spline object) configured into a grid that I have twisted with a deformer. Problem is the circle used to sweep the spline paths starts to look oblong and squished when twisted enough by the deformer so instead of clean circular wires, I have squishes (almost flattened) ones. I need to apply other twists in various areas using a falloff as well so it gets a little complicated. I don’t see any settings to maintain that circle shape. Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Brian

If I am understanding you correctly, you need to group the twist deformer only with the splines being swept. If, for example, you have grouped it in a null with all of the splines, including the circle making up the contour spline, you will get the result you describe. If this doesn’t help, perhaps you could upload your project file, or at least a simplified version showing the issue.

    Something like this:

This makes sense. Thank you Jim!
