    Hi everyone,

I’m trying to create a tunnel (wormhole) effect where all the viewer can see is inside of the tunnel.

I’m using an uncapped cylinder but I’d like be able to only see that part of the inside of the cylinder visible through the uncapped end. I can reproduce this look by rendering twice and masking in After Effects, but is there a render once option?

Couldn’t you just render with an alpha channel, or is the outside of the cylinder visible in some frames? If the latter, you can render only the inside by using two materials. Set your interior material’s texture tag to Side>Back. Then create another material with an alpha channel that knocks it out completely and apply that material to your cylinder with a texture tack set to Side>Front.

    That’s perfect, thanks Adam.
