As a new user to Vegas Platinum 8, I think I may have done something to change the orginal display – now I can’t get it back!
I want video/audio top of screen, video preview bottom right and transitions etc option bottom left, but nothing in options, preferences, display seem to help – nor does restore defaults – any ideas, please? Thanks

Holding down CTRL-SHIFT when starting Vegas should reset it to “factory defaults”.

The option to change the timeline to the top or bottom should be in Options – Preferences – Display tab which has an option that reads “Display timeline at bottom of main window” (at least the Pro version does).

Thanks – but I’m afraid neither of these suggestions works!

Another way is to just drag around the panels manually and postion them where you see fit. This can be done by click & holding the panels in the top left of the tab bar while you drag. Same as any of the Adobe programs.

[Jack Watts] “Another way is to just drag around the panels manually”

That doesn’t work with the position of the timeline, though.
