Displacement Maps and Glow Help
Hi
I was wondering if someone could help me, i’m new to after effects and to this site, i’m being trained at Uni on how to create certain effects, i’m not sure how to create a certain glow, I’ve been given the footage of a small fire and a 3d room, now i was wondering if someone could give me pointers on how to create a glow type of effect so i can make the fire look more realistic. I’ve posted a link to the pic of what it should look like, If someone could point me in the right direction then it would be amazing 🙂

Not for beginners but, if you can pull it off, you won’t be a beginner any longer.
Make the scene 3d, add a light, add the Wiggle expression to the intensity of the light.Do you have any third party AE books at your disposal? Start taking them to the gym with you.

I’m hoping to go into this part of the industry and that soon so i guess all this training is ok lol
I’ve made it into a 3D scene, i was told today that maybe manipulating the Flame or something to make the glow or something, i was wondering if this would help? I have some books but i’ve also ordered some tutoirals to help me out as well. if i wanted to manipulate the flame to look like a glow on the wall like the photo what would i have to do?
