Disk Utility can’t repair disk — error-9972
I’m having trouble repairing my backup disk. Disk utility returns a 9972 error. I’ve run Disk Warrior twice, and it thinks the disk is just fine.
Any ideas?

If anyone’s interested….
This particular disk error is considered quite serious, although for me the only problem was that I couldn’t boot from it. Since it was my secondary disk, I erased it and did a Carbon Copy Clone from my primary disk, then ran Disk Repair, then repaired permissions, and now it boots and appears to work just like it ought to.
I’m just hoping it’s not a hardware issue.
