“Disk Full” error message HELP!
Hello, first I’d like to say I love these forums, I am a new member, and everyone seems to be very helpful.
My Issue:
I am an avid video gamer, and I record my game play footage with the program “Fraps”.
I recorded about 30 segments ranging from 400k-4g in size per file. I recorded at 1280×1024 resolution in game. My settings in Fraps were 60 fps (which is useless I’m told) and Full Screen.I like to make videos of my game play and share with my community, I used to use Vegas, but I recently bought PP 2 for cheap from my school. I bought Fraps and PP2, so there is no issues with it not working, because of hacks or w/e.
Anyway I created a project, custom settings for 25 fps 1280×1024 and the 1. ratio that is square settings (sorry not at my computer with pp2 for correct terms).
I start working on my project, it is 18 mins in length, has audio and a bunch of video segments, which I cut drastically from the original. I am happy with the video, so I go to render it.
I click on file, export, movie.
I click on settings/custom.
I make sure it is at 1280×1024.
I chose my compressor, Divx.
I chose my audio compressor, AC-3.
I click ok and save it to my desktop.
After a while, I get an error “Disk Full”I’ve tried uncompressed for both audio and video.
I’ve tried Xvid.
I’ve tried default, seems I can not get past this error message.I need some help please! If this can be fixed, if not, is there a way to render the pp2 file in another program?
Computer specs:
cpu – Core 2 Duo Xtreme 2.9ghz
mb – Asus Dh delux
ram – 4gb ddr2 800
gpu – Radeon x1950xtx
2 – 80GB raptors in Raid 0I read somewhere here, that fat32 can cause this and not enough ram can as well. I have 4gb and im on NTFS. Thanks for the help guys/gals.

Are these the only drives you have on your system? is the raid partitioned into segments?

If you captured 60 fps and export at 25 fps wont your finished video play at less than half of real time??
1280 x 1024 = 1.3 million pixels X 24 bits per pixel = 31 million bits or 4 megabytes per frame or 240 Megabytes per second or just over 1 TERABYTE for uncompressed…DISK FULL.
I dont think Premiere will export Divx or Xvid even with the compressor installed on your system, but even if it did, the file size would exceed the codec limit of 4 GB (non Open DML codecs)….DISK FULL.Even if it did, I dont think your computer could decompress the Xvid or Divx codec smoothly.
