Is there a way to disconnect the connected clips in FCP X?
For example: I have just two songs I want to use, 1 clip of 15 seconds and 1 clip of 45 seconds: together a 60 second song. I have 2 minutes of video. I want to trim the video exactly to the 60 seconds of audio. Because the audio clips are always connected to the storyline I can not do this. The audio clips move over each other.
If I use the position tool (P), then there appears a slug in the video ‘track’. If I delete this slug, then the 2 song clips move over one another. In FCP 7 this was easy to manage.
So, how do I solve this problem?
