disappearing work – frustrating!
i wish i knew what keystrokes i did, but twice this morning i had just finished delicately tweaking some of the best AE work the world would have ever seen (ha), and suddenly everything seemed to back up about 10 or 20 steps! i tried an “undo”, and looking through the history but to no avail.
so, i loaded up the latest auto-save, which was just slightly better than what was currently on my screen, and started that section over.
any ideas?

As far as I know, AE doesn’t come with an “Undo my most recent work in a surprising manner” keyboard shortcut.
What exact version number of AE CC are you running?
I wonder if it’s a cache issue.
Without knowing what you pressed, I’m just shooting in the dark.
I would suggest you use the increment and save feature often until you can figure out what you’re doing.
