  disappearing ram preview – help!!

  hey guys,
  i’ve never had this problem before, and it seems to be mac only, and only at my current workplace have i experienced it. the pc i used to be on here was fine.
  tried a search here but nothing came up.

  on my mac, when i do a ram preview, more often than not it vanishes after i stop previewing. ie, hit 0 on the number pad to start it, hit 0 again to watch it real time, then when i stop it, the green “rendered” bar disappears, and if i want to preview i have to start it all over again. same with space bar previews, nothing sticks in memory, and the only green cached frame is the one i’m currently on. move forward or back and the frame won’t stay in memory. this is incredibly frustrating and is really slowing me down.

  i’ve tried enabling/disabling disk cache in preferences to no effect.

  please help!
