Hi, I’m new to Vegas (Movie Studio HD Platinum 11), just converting over from a product called Pure Motion Edit Studio. My problem, is that I’m setting up a simple title that scrolls in from the right of the screen using keyframes (starting with the default preset text event), I also adjust the tracking with the keyframe. After I’ve set up a title, I want to copy and paste it along the timeline to use it again. When I do this the keyframe settings are gone from each subsequent pasted event. Worse still after setting up all the keyframes settings in each of the text events, I save and close Vegas. When I come back in all the keyframes are gone, I just have a starting keyframe with the settings I chose for that keyframe.
    Thanks
    Tony

When you paste do you select “paste event attributes”?

I’ve tried both ways, paste and paste attributes. What concerns me more is that the key frame setting disappear on the original text event after saving and closing the project. I’ve since been using the Legacy text default event instead and that works fine.

I’m having the same problem. I’m generating legacy text and then adding a slow zoom to the text using keyframes. Everything works fine, but if I save my project, close Vegas Studio and then reopen the project all my keyframe animations are gone!

    This is very annoying!

Sony just released an updated Version of 11. Maybe that fixes things?

Dave, both guys are using Movie Studio, not Pro.
Having said that, they should both make sure they are running the most recent release (currently at build 322).

The Sony site has this in their Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0 release notes.

    Notable fixes/changes in version 11.0 (Build 283)
Fixed various bugs in the Titles & Text plug-in involving keyframes.
