Activity Forums DaVinci Resolve disable Wave when DaVinci is not running?

    yeah sure but i want to use it for something else
    and DaVinci still has control over it and makes it unusable.

    Launch Resolve. Click DaVinci Resolve. Click Preferences. Click None under Control Panel Type. Exit Resolve.

    Oh like if you want to use it for Red-CineX or something… I think there is a driver that Resolve runs that needs to be stopped, I thought there was something posted here earlier about how to do that. Maybe try sending the BMD guys an email.

    Search this forum, the answer was posted a while ago, but I forget the specifics.
    Basically you’re going into Activity MOnitor and killing a daemon process that locks the panel to davinci. faster than changing preferences.

    Just remember that once you kill the process in the activity monitor you’ll need to reboot to get it back on…

    Actually setting that switch in Resolve should do exactly that.
    Unload all drivers, deamons and let go of the panlel.
    People wanna run Scratch or Color on the same box one day and its a little cumbersome now doing it manually.
