disable expression but retain values is it possible without notepad?
Hi again. I’m needing to align things in my scene and rather than writing down extensive lists of numbers for anchor points and positions I’m using an expression that looks like this
L = comp("Char_Rig_Ctrls_Comp").layer("Side_R_Bob_R_Eye_CTRL");
L.toWorld(L.anchorPoint)which works great and matches things but… If you disable the expression everything snaps back to the wrong places. Is there a way that anyone knows that I can disable an expression and keep the values that it assigned to the object. I tried keyframing it but that didn’t work. I can, and am going to, just write things dowm (Okay not write, I’ll be using notedpad) But it seems clumsy to me and I wondered if there was a better way. Using expressions instead of scripts to grab little bit of temporary info that you need seems like a really smart way to get things aligned between comps but if I cant disable the expression and have to write the info down anyway I feel it’s not that useful and I’ll have to look further into scripting, not on this job but hopefully for the future.
Thanks.
Benjamin.
