Ok, so I feel like a fish out of water here. I have been editing with Vegas for the pas 3 years or so, and I finally got sick of Sony and their lack of support for AVCHD and made the jump to Premiere CS4.

Timeline is smooth and preview is great on my quad core with 8gb ram.

Now it is time to retrain myself from all the keyboard shortcuts that I had been so accustomed to with Vegas.

The main thing right now that I want to figure out, and can’t find, is the “auto stop feature” I have the video playing in the timeline, and if I click on the end of a video object or basically click anywhere, the video stops. Is there any way to disable this? It is really annoying to keep having to restart the video.

    Thanks guys.

This normal behaviour. As soon a you click anywhere in the timeline you are ready to make an edit, so Premiere stops playing.
