Digital Hits when exporting
Has anyone had any problems using FCP 7 when exporting XDCAM footage? I’ve been editing in the XDCAM codec and everything is fine. Then, when I export it as a Quicktime movie, there are quite a few digital hits that appear in the created file, but aren’t on the original timeline! And when I reexport, those hits are gone, but they reappear somewhere else. It’s quite frustrating. Anyone have any idea what this could mean?

Quicktime movie with current settings or quicktime export and changing codec?
The forum is full of advice to avoid quicktime conversion and use quicktime movie with current settings and use Compressor to make other frame sizes or codecs.

I was exporting the quicktime movie with current settings, not using Quicktime conversion.

Try the Recompress all Frames checkbox and see if that clears it up.
