digital Hi 8 out of synch
Hello,
I’m trying to digitize some old Digital 8 and Analog Hi8 tapes from a Sony Digital 8 camera. The problem is, although I can get a preview in the log and capture window, I get a black screen when I “capture now.” The only way around that is no use “non controllable device” and then I get a warning that the audio could (and in fact IS) be out of sync. I believe that the problem may be tied to the fact that the camera only could record 12 bit audio.
Has anyone else had the is problem and if so what was your solution? I’m using a 1 year old Mac Pro and FC6.

capture a short test clip and change the audio properties of the
sequence to 12-bit 32khz. should be in sync then. -
