I am working on a short film that was originally shot on 35mm, transferred to HD masters (1080/23.976), and downconverted to DVCAM tapes. The audio is taken directly in a computer hard drive at 48kHz, nondrop frame. The audio was not synced in the transfer but later in Avid.

I used my downconverted DVCAM tapes to offline in a 24P project to avoid slowing down the audio. I have since then onlined to a 1080/24p project with no major hitches.

Now: I’m about do a digital cut to HD and digibeta. Will I experience sync drifts over time, since I’m going back to 23.976? The film is roughly 13 minutes long. If I do experience sync drifts, what are the steps that I need to take?
