    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone is using Digieffects FreformAE plug-in and could advise if it does in fact create a true 3d object / mesh that can interact with other 3d layers in a comp, or is it somewhat similar to the likes of CC Sphere where it’s in it’s own 3d world?

I downloaded the trial version and attempted to get a water like mesh layer created in freeform to interact with a cube of 3d solid layers and wasn’t sure if it was a specific restricton on the trial or if it doesn’t use global 3d if that is the correct term for it.

    Thanks for any input!

    Chris

If the Freeform layer has to be 2D (with 3D cube left unchecked) then I’d say it’s like all of AE’s other 3D effects.

Yes I think this is definitely the case – it looks like the freeform layer has to be 2d – it had my hopes up there for a minute!

    Thanks.

There comes a time when a young AE artist’s fancy turns to thoughts of Cinema 4D. 🙂
