  • Difficulty of turning 2D logo into 3D

I know this a very broad question, but how difficult would it be to create this logo:
In 3D and bring into Adobe After Effects CS6. Is it something a new user can do, or more advanced?

Also, is there alternate software other then Cinema 4D that might be better?

    Thanks for your time.

I can’t really tell how the object is constructed from that picture.

it looks kind of simple but I don’t think it is. The widths of the parts are different (the orange and the yellow are huge) and the shapes while similar are not identical and there doesn’t appear to be some easy way. I would think it would take hand building each part (which is totally possible) just more time consuming than if you could build a shape (a ‘petal’) and put it in a cloner or array etc.
