Different viewers
I am running prem pro cs3 and I am editing a video which will be outputted into two screens. To make editing life easier, I am using one sequence and using video 1 and 2 and eventually will separate them to create two separate DVDs which will be played together. Is it possible to have two viewers (one showing vid1 and one showing vid 2) while I edit? Is this the best way to go about editing? Sorry I don’t know the proper jargon to explain what I am doing.

Use Motion Effect in the Effects Controls palette to scale each track to 25%, then click on the word Motion and drag each video in the Program window to one side…2 pictures on one screen.

To make the edit less of a PITN, you could set up a sequence for screen A, and a sequence for screen B (You could edit to the same audio track) and nest sequences A and B together in sequence C. Scale each of the nested sequences down as Mike describes and any tweaks or changes you make to the edit in sequence A or B are immediately reflected in C where you can proof the spatial and timing relationships. This would keep you from having to scale all the clips, and would give you two sequences ready to master individually when you’re done.
