    Hi,
I’ve been editing 24pa footage captured via advanced pulldown removal in a 23.98 timeline. So far everything looks and works great. However, I have some footage that I believe was shot just 24p (not 24pa). The clips were captured using the 2:3:3:2 pulldown removal but it looks very jerky when viewed in the viewer and timeline. It looks like frames are skipping and it is jarring.

The clip data says that the fps is 29.97 even though I don’t think it is. Even so, I recaptured some of the data using standard capture settings, and the footage now looks better in the viewer, but when I put it into the 23.98 timeline with the rest of my project, it looks even worse than it did originally.

    so,

    1) if my footage is 24p and not 24pa, is there a way to capture it so that it’s compatible with the 24pa footage I’m using in the 23.98 timeline?

    or

    2) if my footage does happen to be 30fps, is there a way to capture this so that it’s usable within a 23.98 timeline?

    Thanks much

    Jake
