I’m working with another editor on the same system, since FCP is not like Avid where each editor gets to have his own setting what is the best way to switch from user to another? is it by saving the 3 pref. files on a CD and before start editing, trashing the other Prefrenc files and move the ones on CD to the folder of the pref.?
what is the best way to use the same FCP system for different editors?

Make separate users at the system level. Keep the project in the Shared folder. Both of you can have not only separate application preferences, but separate system environments.

    All the best,

I worked on the same machine as another editor. You are able to save your keyboard layout, and your window arrangement and recall them rather easily.

I’m with Shane on this one — that’s the fastest and easiest way I think.
