FCP 5.1 and I have clips stored on a NAS that I’ve been using on this project for weeks now.

Oddly, today, all the file names in the directory that FCP touches (on the NAS box) seem to have lost their extension and appears as default text files. The files aren’t corrupt – after I run through reconnecting the media several times they all come in o.k. All other directories on the NAS box are fine.

I can access the affected directory from both a windows and mac – same symptoms – they just appear as generic clips?

Any history or ideas on this?

    TIA!
