  • DH_Counter Plug-in not working

I purchased Digital Heaven’s Counter 1.1 and have been trying to install the plug-in per their directions. I dragged the DH_counter 1.1 file to Library/Application Support/FCP folder and relaunched FCP. The counter did not appear in the Effects browser or in the View popup window.

There was on “Plug-in” folder in this location, so I tried creating one, but still does not appear in FCP.

    Any ideas?

    Mac Pro Quad Core
    FCP 6.0.5

    Thanks!

    The path is:

    /Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Plugins/

    Good luck.

I love this plug in, it is very simple, fast, and inexpensive. Was my first purchase from DH. In your viewer window, there’s a little button near the right bottom you click to get simple text, or a “slug” or a gradient fill, etc. The DH Counter shows up there in a drop-down. Double-click that, then type in the time you want to span in the little duration box top left, then go into the “motion” tab to make further adjustments. Works slicker than snot. Are you saying it won’t run or that the install doesn’t work… have you tried using it as described above yet?

Many thanks, Tom. That’s exactly the info I needed.

Mark, I finally got the plugin working after finding the correct folder to drop it into. Works great as long as you don’t try to change the speed of the clip in anticipation that you can do the same with the counter. The option is available in the viewer Motion window, but I have not been able to speed up the counter. You know of any counter plugin that will work with time remapping?

    Thanks!
