OK great… so i just did, then opened in VLC to check it and all looked correct… except I can see interlacing… now I am just playing this on my apple monitor… I dont have a broadcast display to check it on… is it supposed to look like that?

Yep as it’s 24p with pulldown. VLC won’t display interlacing correctly, but it will look good on TV. You need speicalized hardware to playback the DGFC mpeg on a broadcast monitor, unfortunately.

Also, in my experience, DGFC has decent QA and will call you with problems.

    Jeremy…

I just uploaded to DG only to get this response:

File ‘VERL1482.mpg’ uploaded by client ‘PROCR-NB’ contains a file format not supported by DG Systems or the file is corrupt.

Any ideas? I simply took my 720 24p footage and dropped it on your preset in Episode and uploaded the result to the DG system

Thanks for your continued help… I really owe you!

Yeah, not sure. I use that same preset all the time and it passes and is verified.

What version of Episode do you have? Are you uploading to the dropbox or just their ftp?

    Try this one:

    DGFC_New

Oh, and another thing. They said that the file might be corrupt, so maybe it didn’t transfer over properly?

The preset should work as I have no problems.

Jeremy– Will this preset also work with a source frame rate of 59.94? Thanks!
