    Vegas 12.0 build 770 64bit
    PC running Win10
    Before upgrading to Win10 from Win 7, I connected my analog video source to a Canon DV camcorder in the AV in to DV out mode, and had great results capturing video for many years.
    Now, it doesn’t recognize the device, with either capture app. Everything else has worked perfectly after the OS upgrade.

    The DV cam is connected to PC through IEEE 1394 card which is shown as functioning properly. The card driver is shown as being the latest.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Do a search on this forum for “firewire legacy driver” (without the quotes). This has been discussed in relation to Windows 7 & 8 so I’m sure it’s still applicable.

    Thanks it worked. Downdated the driver and all is good now..
