Desktop Video 9 w/ Resolve on Windows
BMD’s Desktop Video app and driver package is currently in version 9.
The Resolve downloads include an older version on Desktop Video.
The Windows config guide for Resolve states:
The Resolve installer installs certified Blackmagic
Desktop Video drivers for Resolve and other driver
versions should not be used. If you have accidentally
installed separate drivers, go to the Programs and
Features control panel, select the Desktop Video
Drivers, click on Uninstall and follow the onscreen
promptI would like to install v9 for it’s support of Media Composer 6.
Anybody know why BMD insists on the older version for Resolve, or perhaps by “other driver versions” BMD means older versions?
