Desktop Preview on 2nd Video Card
Apple currently requires you to run two video cards on the Mac Pro to run two 24” LED Cinema displays. If you didn’t know, this is because they don’t offer a video card with two mini display ports or a DVI to mini convertor.
I want to run a desktop preview on the 2nd monitor/2nd video card but I get a white screen instead of the image. Is FCP incapable of sending the preview to the 2nd card or is there a fix around this?
The canvas window plays fine on the 2nd monitor, and the desktop preview plays fine on the 1st (primary) monitor.
Running Final Cut Pro 6.0.6 on OS X 10.5.7

Can’t answer myself, different configuration.
We’ve see this issue come up often enough for there to be a good base of answers. Try searching google because the questions come up on other FCP forums, too.
If you figure it out, know that if you run two cards with a display attached to both of them, FCP will NOT run a bunch of FxPlugs that are available from Motion. You will get a red “fialed to render” screen in the canvas.bogiesan
