  • depth of field on an Invigorator object in an AEF comp?

I’m desperately trying to get the depth of field to work on an Invigorator object in an AEF comp.
“Use Comp Camera” in checked, camera depth of field is checked an working on all other AEF 3D elements.
    Can someone help?

    Hi Frederic,

Depth of Field isn’t supported with 3D Invigorator projects, so you will have to apply a blur effect to your objects to get the depth of field effect that you’re looking for.

Hi Edward, thanks for the swift answer.
Will do without for the current projects, but that is a really serious limitation.
Problem to apply blur is that, for anything more than a simple flying logo, when you use complex camera paths, or multiple objects, it becomes simply unmanageable…
Do you know if there is any plan for the DOF to be supported in the future?

    Hi Frederic,

I’m unsure right now whether that will be implemented in the new version or not. However, we try to implement as many new features as we can, so it’s possible that it will be supported in the upcoming versions.

    Best,
    Edward
