Demo-Program latched on to FCP like a Virus—Help!
I am working with FCP 5.0.4. I was having problems with distortion in audio clips and looked into cleaning them up with a demo-program called Izotope Rx. I downloaded their demo, but I wasn’t able to get it to work, so I disregarded it and went back to FCP filters to resolve the problems and kept working. I shut down my system and restarted it later. Now when opening the FCP project (or the FCP program itself) it will not open without registering the demo program. I don’t want to buy it or use it now—but it is acting like a virus that has locked my program up. I have trashed all references to the program so there is no existence of it—but it still prevents FCP from opening up. A window asking for “authorization” to the Izotope demo keeps popping up as FCP opens—stalling FCP.
How can I get rid of that program/window and regain access to my FCP projects without deleting and reinstalling (hours of work) the FCP program?
