I was curious to know what you think of the image quality of the Dell 2407WFP that you mentioned ordering back in January? I’m in a similar position as Cory; making the transition to a PowerMac 8 core and trying to decide on a monitor. Up until now we’ve been using a 24″ iMac, which has been just fine, but we need more horsepower.Am considering the Apple 23″, but am interested in cutting some costs. My work is 70% writing and the rest audio/visual, using FCP and adding in Logic Studio. Visual for reading/writing is key, presuming with that covered, images should be fine.
ps: have also enjoyed your samples on the web. We created one on post Katrina, too, for GE.
Thank you!

It wasn’t the 2407WFP, it was the cheaper, E248WFP $400 monitor. I returned it. We ended up just going with a 24″ Samsung monitor we picked up at Costco for the time being.
We have the 2407WFP’s in our two primary suites and they worth every penny. I will purchase another of those probably later this year for the third suite, but we have other priorities with money right now.

February 22, 2008 at 6:49 pmHey Cory,
How did you make out with the new MacPro and your Dell monitor? I’m still searching and have found some many conflicting reports on the Dell that I’m leaning towards the ACD 23″Running it on DVI, are you now pleased with your purchase? Any reports are much appreciated! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing the sales price in CA, but it was not available here in Wisconsin.
