    OK,

So I have the Decklink HD 4:4:4 (bought in July). I also own a JVC professional CRT monitor. I just bought the HDLink and the Dell 2405 Display. I set up everything last night, but I have a problem.

I connected the HDLink to the HD-SDI output on Decklink HD, and the Dell to the HDLink through the DVI-D. Also, I connected the CRT monitor to the component output on the Decklink card.

What I want to do is edit 1080 DVCPRO HD in FCP. Output true HD 1920-1080 resolution to the Dell, and simultaneously downconvert SD to my CRT monitor. I set up the hardware split downconversion in Blackmagic pref to “HD to HD/SD letterbox”.

Am I doing all the things right? The problem I have:

    1) When the 1920-1080 is displayed pixel-by-pixel on the Dell, the CRT displays nothing (the Display Preferences is 1920×1080, 30Hz)
    2) When the CRT displays the correct downconverted HD, the Dell displays the HD image in a much smaller image, definitely not the pixel-by-pixel resolution (the Display Preferences is 1920×1080, 29 Hz)

So I guess it has something to do with the refresh rate? I tried different possibilities on my G5’s Display Preferences, I can get one to work nicely but never both at the same time.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks.
