A client is interested in me delivering video files to be streamed on the web.

How do I go from a completed edit done in FCP to the file formats required – swf, I believe?

Unless you have Adobe Flash on your computer you cannot go directly from FCP to a .flv or .swf file. You will need to download a flash encoder and use it to encode your quicktime self contained movie you export from FCP. There are several quality encoders for free download, do a google search for flash encoder free.

    Thanks!

Any recommendation for a free flash encoder?

I see adobe’s is only 49… maybe that’s the best way to go

I prefer open source encoders rather than any other. The one I use frequently is Riva FLV Encoder. Do a google search for it, you can download it . . .
