Deleting “flat line” audio lines along with video.

[Dandy Wellington] “I’d like to delete all the “flat line” audio lines along with the video that’s associated with it. Is there a quick and easy way to doing this?”

Turn on Auto Ripple (Ctrl+L). Make a timeline loop selection around the area that you want to delete. Press the ‘S‘ key to split the audio and video, and then the Delete key to delete it. Repeat for as many sections as you want to remove. Then turn Auto Ripple off when you’re done.

Hey John, thanks for your reply. I tried that technique you advised me on, but isn’t it essentially the same as adding markers and clicking the middle to delete it?

I’m not sure what adding markers has to do with deleting sections of clips but without ripple edit enabled, it will just leave a hole and not move the rest of the event over.
