Deleted Preferences before quitting FCP 4.5
I was getting a general error code while capturing. So I decided to delete my prefererences to see if that would alleviate my problem.
I made the mistake of deleting the preferences while FCP was still running. I still have the problem of not being able to capture, in addition to the preference files being missing from my user:library:preferences.
Any suggestions. I am not home and do not have the software with me to re-install.

Well, hopefully you haven’t emptied the trash. Find the relevant files in the trash and put them back where they came from?
