delete?
One of the most common things I do in Premiere is: set an in, set an out, delete everything in between and ripple the gap closed.
I use option-delete to do that. But half the time when I do that rather than do the delete I am expecting the wiper just jumps to some random spot in the sequence.
To insure that I get the delete I want I have to click and then option click on an empty spot on the sequence, adding two keystrokes to the process. Annoying!
What am I doing wrong? What don’t I understand about this?

You could just hit “Extract”
