    Trash prefs, but then you lose them all.

    I don’t understand why you can’t just delete it out of the favorites bin in the effects tab?

    Hi Zak,

    This is a different issue from the thread. You might want to do a search for this answer, perhaps in the Final Cut Pro Basics Forum – it can get complicated. fwiw, it’s not inside FCP, and can be done either manually (you have to know where to find the preferences), or with a dedicated little program. I use Preferences Manager.

    In the effects bin there is a folder called “favorites” just select the filter you want to remove and hit delete.
