Delace scanned photo
using CS4 on a mac. I would like know how to Delace a photo I scaned from print material.

I don’t know what you mean by “Delace” — do you mean to say “Deinterlace”? That’s all I can figure out, except that interlaced imagery comes from video cameras, not from a printed photograph….

Thank you for responding. “Delace” was how it was explained to me. Sorry for the confusion. I have photos which have be scanned from newspapers and journals. They have allot of noise in. I am assuming the noise was generated from the fact that they were scanned from printed material. I was searching for a way of cleaning them up.

Do a search around the web for “descreening,” which is what I’ve heard it called most commonly. There is a lot of advice out there, and I won’t bother rehashing it all here:
