I was given some footage for a project that needed an arm to be tracked to a guy that was moving. The problem is the footage is interlaced and i cannot get a good track with the footage.

I was wondering if there is anyway to convert interlaced footage to progressive, or do something to the interlace footage so it is easier to track on it.

    Thank you.

You don’t have to do anything with the interlaced footage itself to make it easier to track.
When you select to track the footage, you can go to tracker options and activate “Track Fields” checkbox.
It is good to analyze all the other options there. Sometimes it is worth changing something from the default settings, but it depends on the footage. There is no universal setting that will deal with everything.
