Deinterlacing concerts with fast blinking is problematic
Anyone tried deinterlaced concerts that has flashing lights ? The deinterlacing messes up and you end up getting bit black areas in the picture. Anyone have a fast fix for that ?? What numbers should I change ? Guess it is the big differences in the picture that messes things up.
My preset is (dv-pal)
fields Blend 1 frame per frame
field order (lower)
fill method Blend
detect motion 3 frames compare
detect method small area
motion tolerance 0,3
mask supress 1
mask grow 3
mask feather 3
smooth vertically 0
sharpen 0Anders

Send techsupport@revisionfx.com a few frames (like 5) where you see that effect. In most applications the menu is animatable, if the Motion Compare screws up on flashes.

Will do, just when this 30 hours rendering time is finished in AE (is it faster in FCP than AE on my 2×2 dual g5 ?)
