Deinterlace to Double Framerate by Optical Flow ?
Hi, Deinterlace to Double Framerate by Optical Flow ?
I’m interested in deinterlacing HD and SD using the hightest quality method possible. I believe this to be by turning each field into a complete frame, the missing lines in each case being filled in by motion estimation of the shapes in the image. So from 25i I get 50p. I understand that Boris’s Optical Flow can do something like that, but can it do exactly that? Does anybody have experience of using Optical Flow in this way, and how well and quickly does it work?
Currently I use AlparySoft deinterlacer and it is excellent as far as it goes but it only delivers the same framerate as the original, hence 25i becomes 25p.
Cheers,
Dave
