  • Default Resolution setting when replacing with AE Comp from PP

I often nest clips in premiere pro cc and “replace with after effects composition” for additional effects via the dynamic link. When the clip opens in AE, it always defaults to Full resolution in the Preview Monitor. This buffers too slowly (even though my PC is a beast) so I always manually set it to Half Res. Then I have to redo this for every clip I “replace with AE Comp”. Is there a setting to open at Half Res. by default?

I’ve searched internet and know about setting comp presets, but I think this is different because I am sending from a Premiere pro sequence and I think it automatically puts the comp settings to match the settings of the clip I am bringing over. Any thoughts?
