Default Anchor Point.
Whenever I create a text or import an image, the anchor point is always in the lower left hand corner. I nearly always require it to be in the center, so I’m forced to use the Pan Behind Tool to move it each time.
Can it be set to default to the center every time?

Change the text alignment to centered in the type palette.
